Before working for K9i, staff will have benefited from extensive backgrounds operating in the most extreme and basic of working conditions. This includes civil war, exposed desert conditions, afloat, in temporary fully self-supporting field conditions, international air and road transport with dogs, and where long supply lines and bureaucracy require displays of ingenuity and diplomacy to ensure success.

K9i conducts continuing practical training to ensure that staff maintain a balanced focus on human relationship skills, sensitivities of the human-dog interface, and the welfare and productivity of all humans and dogs.
